Every dog needs a spaw day to maintain their natural beauty.
When you bring your dog to The Diesel Dog your experience begins by being welcomed to the shop. Then it is time for your pup to get a pre-bath brushing to remove loose hair. Ears are cleaned and excess ear hair plucked if applicable. Nails are clipped (included in basic groom) but upon request a grinding treatment can be done to round and smooth sharp nails. Your dog is then treated to a relaxing bath where they get to unwind as shampoo is massaged into their fur. To deep clean their face and for aromatherapy a blueberry facial is worked into the head and face. After rinsing your dog is towel dried first then blow dried by hand. Once dry they are brushed to remove any more loose hair or tangles. A professional haircut is given with a full groom. Every dog is finished with non-aerosol perfume and given a bow and/or bandana.

Caitlan Nadolny is the owner/groomer/artist at The Diesel Dog LLC. She was trained at the CT School of Dog Grooming. She completed grooming school and began grooming in shops and continued her knowledge by learning from some great groomers. She also holds a BS-ED in Art Education from CCSU where she focused her training on painting. Caitlan feels The Diesel Dog LLC is a combination of all her loves: working with dogs, painting, and her Boxer mix Diesel. Diesel has since passed but remains her inspiration.
Diesel was a Boxer mix. He passed away suddenly in May 2014. He enjoyed being Caitlan's running partner and long walks on the beach. He was a champion countertop surfer and master cuddler. He is missed dearly by all that knew him but is memorialized as the mascot and namesake of Caitlan's business.
